Traffic on Columbus and Marin is a headache and a hazard during rush hour and now with all the construction on Marin its becoming a nightmare.

    Have you thought about
    1. directing cars coming onto Morgan street between Marin and Newark to Newark Avenue
    2. directing cars coming onto Morgan street between Marin and Warren to Warren Street.
    3. By doing this you can remove the light on Marin/Morgan which will eliminate the backup on Columbus

    just a thought

  • Coles St & I-78 W Jersey City, NJ, 07310, USA - Downtown
Here is where I might die. More development means more pedestrians on Coles under that overpass thingy by Moishe's. Total blind left curve for drivers turning off Coles into the little street connecting to the tunnel entrances. Dark under there. Even if we had a little push light to do the flashing pedestrian warning.
  • 32 Claremont Ave Jersey City 07305, United States - Bergen-Lafayette
Claremont is a two way street which allows parking on both sides of the street. If two cars are coming in opposite directions there is no room to pass. This street should be a one way street or have parking on only one side
  • Academy St & Baldwin Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Journal Square
Hello, this intersection is extremely hectic during rush hour. Cars are consistently attempting to beat the short turning signals so it's difficult to cross the street without multiple cars honking horns for pedestrians to get out of the way. I'm reporting this intersection in an effort to prevent anyone from getting seriously hurt.

We need curb extensions at every intersection along our major commercial streets otherwise every crosswalk just ends up illegal parking.

Hello. People speed down the road. I think you should add a stop sign. This is between 18 park and the vantage towards the water
  • Tonnele Ave & Van Winkle Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal Square
Pedestrians do not feel safe crossing over Tonnelle at Van Winkle.
  • 68-80 Sip Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal Square
There is a signalized intersection on Sip Avenue at the access road to the Journal Square Bus Station. The crosswalk at the western side of the intersection across Sip Avenue is missing. In addition, there is a temporary ramp up to the curb made of asphalt, but it is frequently blocked by parked vehicles. This is one of the main areas of pedestrian access to the bus terminal, and is busy with pedestrian traffic. As a crosswalk is missing and pedestrians frequently need to enter the street around parked cars, it feels very unsafe crossing here, like an accident waiting to happen. At a minimum, the crosswalk should be repainted, and the curb access should be restricted so that cars do not park blocking the crosswalk and ramp.
  • Summit Ave At Newark Ave Jersey City, NJ 07306, USA - Journal Square

When crossing Newark Ave from the Library to Red Ribbon bake shop, the pedestrian walk signal lights up to cross but traffic at the stop light (cars in the north-facing lane on Summit Ave) get the green light and TURN LEFT onto Newark directly into pedestrians who are in the crosswalk. This has got to be a mistake.

It is tremendously unsafe. After waiting for 5 light cycles at this intersection, can pedestrians get a few seconds to cross without cars flying at us? Please??

  • Erie St & Pavonia Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown

Hi - I am a longtime resident and mom living in Hamilton Park. I’d like to request that the corner of Erie and Pavonia (but really all corners around Cordero) receive the white parking towers that prevent people from parking in the crosswalks.

Two weeks ago after checking repeatedly, a woman who was parked very close to the crosswalk in the location attached hit me and my 6 week old son who was in his bassinet. Last week, I saw it happen again to someone else.

Both times happened after normal school hours, but during Casper after care. I believe installing the white parking towers would prevent possible tragedy by giving a buffer between parked cars and pedestrians. They’re in many other locations in our neighborhood and it seems that surrounding the school should be a priority.

That specific crosswalk does not even have pedestrian signage. Just the crosswalk.

    Thank you.

  • Arlington Ave & Grand St Jersey City, NJ, 07304, USA - Bergen-Lafayette
Very dangerous intersection with cars coming from Grand, Arlington, and Harmon. No one stops for pedestrians. Right across from Arlington Park so kids trying to cross, which makes it extra concerning how dangerous it is.
  • 14th St & Coles St Jersey City, NJ, 07310, USA - Downtown
A constituent says that this intersection has a stop sign but drivers are not obeying the signage and are nearly striking pedestrians. They are asking that something be done to address this ongoing concern and suggested that a stop sign with blinking lights may be helpful.
