Description
There is a pet waste station on the south side of Culpepper Park that doesn't receive refills of bags (though a thoughtful neighbor has been refilling with reused grocery bags). Is the City responsible for stocking these? Also, there are other City maintained parks in this area that would benefit from additional pet waste stations. What is the proper means for making this type of requests?

The two biggest poop areas are at Culpepper Circle, where there is a small park, and on Locke Lane near Enloe High School. Both are areas in which people gather, and where I've seen children, Enloe students, and pets rolling around on the ground. Animal feces can spread disease to animals and humans, and can find its way into the water supply. Plus, it's just gross.
As said in the OP, there are folks in the area who would like to take steps to get more of these stations. Any info would be helpful. Thank you.

Our department provides and installs dog waste stations in city parks through our Adopt-a-Park Program. This requires a citizen volunteer to periodically check the station and refill it with bags. We currently do not have adequate staffing levels to manage this program internally and must rely on volunteer assistance.
We had a previous Adopt-a-Park agreement with a local resident to fill the pet waste station at Culpepper Circle with bags. That person is no longer interested and has not renewed the agreement.
We will be happy to work with a citizen or group in the neighborhood interested in renewing the Culpepper agreement or expanding dog waste stations into other city parks in the area. Please see more information on the Parks Volunteer program here:
