Description
Do these people have a permit to place three huge dumpsters on the road every trash night? Also how is it that they are so lucky to get these spots every Tuesday and Friday. I imagine they are placing cones or some other obstruction in the road during the day. Everything about this is against city ordinances and no matter how many times residents bring this issue to the city. Compliance is constantly closing the ticket in the morning.

Can't wait until the project at 96 - 110 Tonnele Avenue is done. The entrance will be on tiny Van Reipen Avenue along with a massive garage roll up door which leads to the 10 parking spots and garbage compactor. Only place for any type of garbage containers will be in front of the roll up garage door. Unless the city "gifted" the developer the 3 parking spots in front of their building entrance on tiny Van Reipen. I hope not.

There are no permits for dumpsters and they are required to have trash pick up inside their building, not outside.
I am not sure who this should be assigned to or what the conversations have been.
Code Compliance goes to the site within 24 hours of the request being opened and merely do an investigation of the current situation. This is how their office is set up and it works extremely well. They cannot issue a ticket if the condition no longer exists.
Someone needs to make sure management only has pick up within their building.
Does anyone have any documentation they can link to, that states garbage pick up must take place within the building?

There is an open issue on this, please just reply to this one rather than create new ones.
This is a complex issue that is being taken very seriously and Infrastructure has been working with Code Compliance on this.
Where are we at now? We aren't going to be taking away parking and the sidewalk cannot be blocked. Code Compliance is working with the management company of 25 Senate Place to come to an understanding. We know this has been a very frustrating process, but now all the divisions are on the same page and Code Compliance, out of all the divisions in the City, takes on the most amount of work, especially issues that fall between the cracks, and they are handling this.
I know they will have an update soon, they are just making sure they approach this correctly and once and for all. I do apologize for the lack of communication. Even though this is not in my hands, I would have kept silent if I did not have faith in the Code Compliance team that this issue is nearing resolution. That resolution being one that doesn't negatively impact the community.

Is the sidewalks around these other buildings as narrow or are the wider?
The way the Code Compliance issues work is that each request is treated as new and goes to a person that then assigns it to the next inspector in the rotation. Right now, this issue is assigned to a supervisor, Nancy.
Summonses need a bite behind them. Clearly this keeps happening despite numerous summonses. I believe the Code Compliance team wants to make sure this is fully resolved rather than a complete waste of everyone's time and fines that are the cost of doing business.
