Could STOP be painted on the roadway ahead of the white line as well to indicate a stop is ahead.

We have a big stop sign painted at the corner of Hudson and 2nd street. It almost never stops cars. It is still a really dangerous corner for pedestrians.

This was recently installed I think, note the dirt at the bottom of the pole is still there.

Thank you for submitting this issue. We will issue a work order to relocate the stop sign to be in front of the utility pole.

Pole of dirt still there though, maybe dpw wants to be proactive and visit all sites of newly installed pole to have mounds of dirt removed? I'm sure PSE&G had to provide that info to the city before installations?

I heard that they leave the dirt so when old pole is removed, you fill hole with the dirt. But they never do this.
