Where are City Workers right now during all this chaos? There is so much that needs repairing all over the entire city, it's beginning to look like the City just doesn't care anymore. Is this true? I understand the seriousness of our times, but the city must understand that if most of these requests from the public go unanswered, some of these things will only get worse and cause more health problems and safety problems. Put on your HazMat suit and get busy.
Only if the city would make street light upgrades more consistent. These dim century-old street lights barely provide enough lighting for people out on walks. My own porchlight can do better. I don't understand what was the decision that permitted 51st Ave S to have newer led lights and we're stuck with these junks. Not to mention people are speeding up and down the street from the cul-de-sac and their solution is a flashing stop sign but not a 3 way stop (By the way, it already has 2 stop signs, not difficult to add another?)
Do you know how dangerous it is having to use a stairway of 85 steps and their is no lighting to provide a safe trip to the bottom? People could get mugged, raped, injured or even killed. Does the city care? I don't think so! On the corner of Southcenter Boulevard and Macadam Road there is a staircase of 85 steps that goes continually unlit at night time year around. When is sufficient lighting going to be provided for the people in the community? If there is a crime committed, the city of Tukwila should be held responsible.
This is a safety issue since people frequently walk their dogs on our block. Can someone from the city take ownership in responding to this ticket with a direction on who I should reach out to get this resolved? My block is still pitch dark, I can barely see where I'm pulling into my driveway. Most of the houses keep their porch lights off and even if it's on, it's not enough illumination.
