Cromulon, graffiti (not murals, to be specific) is destruction of property and shows a complete lack of respect for the community. Sure, I can just walk right by it and not acknowledge it, but what do you choose to "walk by" or "not look at" next? Before long, you would eventually ignore everything, unless it directly affected your life. So no, I cannot "not look at it" because I CARE about my city and my neighborhood.

If it is ok for construction workers to block the alley because it doesn't directly affect a member of the Harsimus Cove Association then why are we worrying about graffiti?

Those two are completely different. You're missing the point and I'm not going to try to convince you otherwise. In the meantime, I will work to better my neighborhood and city.

I agree with Joe 1000 percent. Graffiti is a plague. I have no sympathy for the artist, even if he or she is making a statement.

Joe, Cromulon, Pat We attempted to steam clean the graffiti very carefully because of the type of rock however our chemical did not work. Now we will try to paint over it with permission with a similar created color. Please lets be friends and continue to help each other out. You all have reasonable gripe and I will do my best to resolve this ASAP. Please. Let me be the first to apologize. Who's next.?
