I'd also like to know if the driveway on the left is legal. There isn't an actual curb cut—only an asphalt ramp up to the sidewalk.

Those cones are bolted to the ground. Street sweeper has been going around them for years.

I believe the owner of those lots is an ex-DPW worker and gets 'special' treatment from street sweepers and other city workers in the area.

Just witnessed street sweeper by-pass the cones. Parking Authority didn't even bat an eye at the cones.

OK. But what about the cones? Street sweepers always round the cones.

The garages on the left and right might be legal but the one in the center (circled in the picture) CANNOT fit a vehicle and should not be considered a garage, and therefore should not have a private driveway.

They made a renovation but want to keep the driveway. probably no permit renovation.

Originally, the space was not 'no parking', thus the cones. When they repaved, all of a sudden the no parking covered the whole stretch.

When did they repave? Warren this is ridiculous. This should be sent to parking also. To the Director. Its obstruction of a public right of way. You cant obstruct a sidewalk, this is no different. He has no permit to do that. I never even heard of it. What record do you have that this driveway was there?

If it is a legal driveway, why are there cones the street that would block the entry and exit of vehicles? Reopening this issue until we all get a reasonable, non-yelled answer.

Zoning-Warren, First of all you work for the City and the level of professionalism being displayed here is less than stellar. There are cones (structures) bolted to a city owned Street... A VIOLATION! The driveway in question has only one driveway and the rest is an entrance to an office and sheds. Please supply us with the records that show that from the Garage to Pavonia is legal no parking due to garages. Even if this IS a LEGAL DRIVEWAY, as stated above, the bolted cones are tacky at the very least, and undoubtedly against code.

No,the person in question does not work for the city. Those driveways have been there for 30 years that I know of. I understand his dilemma because new people in the neighborhood have no respect and they just park anywhere. 90 percent of the vehicles parked in this neighborhood don't have permits to park here and should not be here. What are you doing about that?

First time in 10 years I've seen those cones moved. Snow, rain, nor street sweepers seem able to displace them.

It is not the driveways that are being questioned, but the space between the driveways where the owner puts cones. There is now driveway at that spot, and it is big enough for a car to park, but this guy blocks it with cones.

As a citizen, you could remove the cones. If you need to park your car you can make sure the driveways have enough space in between to come out. They can not provide a ticket where the cones are if there were signs it would be legal, cones are only for a tempory emergency situation.

Temporary was something I was trying to comment ,since they are their illegal a police man could take them away or a civilian could put them on the sidewalk and park. Temporary means temporary for a short time of hours ,Yes is not permanent, this is why I am giving you some information..

Cones are for temporary emergencies.
Police or civilians can move the cones and legally park.
Why not take a screenshot of this thread, move the cones and park?
If you google earth the address, you will clearly see the cones from June 2015, I think we can all agree 28 months passes any "temporary emergency", lol!

We walked by the other night, there appears to be a bright brand new HUGE no parking sign painted on the street that encompasses nearly half the block now, lol!!

It was not. The 'expanded' No Parking sign is only a few years old.

Though the offending cones have been moved onto the sidewalk, "NO PARKING" is painted in large letters in the spot. Please have this removed ASAP. Cars are not parking here because of the lettering even though it is a legal spot, as they do not want to be ticketed–even wrongly–by the Parking Authority.
