I go past this myself every day.
Photo show a mild example, most time this side is covered as lot fills.
Cars nosed up to planters and street signs .
Handicapped wheelchair users have to travel in road!

I have complained to the store owners and the officers hiding in shadows texting in front of store fronts.
All the good it did me was getting searched !

This property has been a problem for YEARS! From the parking that has basically taken over this stretch of sidewalk, to the trash, prostitution and drug dealing that takes place in the front and back of this building at night; as well as the sorry state of the first floor retail stores... this property is a huge blight on the neighborhood. We are trying to beautify Whalley Avenue through the Main Street initiative and this eyesore that sits right in the middle of the Avenue is a serious detriment to that process. The city has to do something about this property and the fact that it is owned by the mayor's son should not stop the city from enforcing codes and rules here as they would on anyone else!

I personally have mentioned it to men doing lot clean up days, but not their decision to act.

An officer has been to this location several times since I acknowledged this issue. On some of those occasions people where found in violation and were ticketed accordingly. If you could tell me what time of day it occurs more frequently then I can try and tailor the patrols to that time.

It's called doing your job and taking approximately a 20 minutes of your time each day at different intervals. It seems you find the time to mark duplicate issues (hello duplicates meaning this is an ongoing issue that NEVER was resolved) well I think maybe some media intervention would be appropriate and get the issue resolved!!!

Just a quick followup: by no means has the situation been resolved and I think we need to keep up the pressure with these posts, but I noticed the other morning (early) that while there were a couple cars parked, only one was slightly onto the sidewalk. Could it be that the message may be FINALLY, slowly sinking in??? Thanks for any tickets that were issues to violators, but we have to keep it up on a consistent basis as Nora suggested or they will go right back to parking on the sidewalk again like Charlie & Citizen on Patrol have been reporting. TT&P, I suggest going there midday and then again between 4-6pm and you will see the problems that we are talking about.

Could someone please let me know at what time of day this is occurring as the officer that was in the area today found no violations. The officer will be going back through the area again at a later point today.

I would mind my business and walk around also .
But I really hate to handicapped elderly have to walk or roll around cars parked on sidewalks!
Someone call landlord have curb stops repositioned!

The biggest problem seems to be in the afternoon, so I will have my officer to concentrate on that time period. As a result of yesterday's patrol through the area we were able to ticket few violators.

I have past this spot daily the cars owners seem to have gotten message and are doing better , not perfect but much better.
I am not familiar with exact details of law but one tire on walk is better than both!

We are still patrolling the area on a regular basis, any vehicle found in violation will be towed and or ticketed.

Although I am closing this issue we will continue to patrol the area. If an issue such as this should arise please feel free to open as a new issue.
