My apologies. We went out and checked and they have a permit to have the sidewalk closed until June. Pedestrians aren't supposed to use the bicycle lane, they are supposed to cross the street.
When asked for a timeline, the contractor hopes to clear the sidewalk completely by mid May.
Since this is all by the book and everyone is doing what they should, I thought this was resolved.
